Angel Malik is mentioned in the Quran in several verses, where he is described as the guardian or keeper of Hell (Jahannam). Angel Malik is mentioned in the Quran as the guardian of Hellfire. Here are some of the verses that mention Angel Malik:
"Surely Hell lies in wait, a place of resort for the transgressors, they will abide therein for ages. Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink, save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold - a fitting recompense, for that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds). But they say: What, when we have become bones and dust, shall we be raised up as a new creation? Say: Be ye stones or iron or some created thing that is yet greater in your thoughts! Then they will say: Who shall bring us back? Say: He Who created you at the first. Then will they shake their heads at thee and say: When will it be? Say: Maybe it is nigh!" (Quran 38:55-68)
"Those who reject our Signs,- We shall soon cast into the Fire: as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. But those who believe and work righteousness, We shall soon admit to gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal home: Therein shall they have companions pure and holy: We shall admit them to shades, cool and ever deepening." (Quran 4:56-57)
"O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded." (Quran 66:6)
In these verses, Angel Malik is described as the keeper or guardian of Hell, where the unbelievers and sinners will be punished. He is portrayed as a stern and severe angel who does not flinch from executing the commands of Allah.
"Nay! I swear by the Day of Resurrection; And nay! I swear by the self-reproaching soul. Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? Yea, We are able to make complete his very fingertips. But man desires to persist in his evil ways. He asks: 'When will the Day of Resurrection be?' So when the sight shall be dazed, And the moon shall be darkened, And the sun and the moon shall be brought together, On that Day man shall say: 'Where is the refuge?' No! There is no refuge. With your Lord alone shall be the retreat on that Day. On that Day shall man be told what he has sent forward, and what he has left behind. Nay! Man shall be a witness against himself, Though he presents his excuses." (Quran 75:1-15)
In this verse, Angel Malik is mentioned as the guardian of Hell, where people will be held accountable for their deeds on the Day of Resurrection.
"They will say: 'Our Lord! Twice hast Thou made us without life, and twice hast Thou given us life! Now have we recognized our sins: is there any way out (of this)?' (The answer will be:) 'This is because, when Allah was invoked as the Only (object of worship), ye did reject Faith, but when partners were joined to Him, ye believed! The Command is with Allah, Most High, Most Great!' It is He Who shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope: It is He Who raises up the clouds, heavy with (fertilizing) rain! Nay, thunder repeats His praises, and so do the angels, with awe: He flings the loud-voiced thunderbolts, and therewith He strikes whomsoever He will..yet these (are the men) who (dare to) dispute about Allah, with the strength of His power (supreme)!" (Quran 13:5-13)
In this verse, Angel Malik is not explicitly mentioned, but it is believed that he is among the angels who praise and glorify Allah along with thunder.
"Surely, the disbelievers will be in the punishment of Hell, abiding eternally therein. It will not be allowed to them to get away from it, and they will have an everlasting punishment. And [in Hell] cut off from them will be supplication, except one of need. So, do not be impatient for them. Indeed, they, [on the Day of Judgement], will be present before their Lord. Then He will judge between them. And they will not feel [the need for] injustice. And they will curse the Day they were ever born. And the Day when the disbelievers are presented before the Fire [it will be said], 'You exhausted your pleasures during your worldly life and enjoyed them, so this Day you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient.' And mention the Day when the Heaven will be split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent. True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day. And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, 'Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter.' And the Messenger has said, 'O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned.' Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper." (Quran 25:66-31)
"And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed. And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will gather them all together; then We will say to those who associated others with Allah, 'Where are your 'partners' that you used to claim [with Him]?' Then there will be no [excuse upon] examination except they will say, 'By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated.' See how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them will be what they used to invent. And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, 'This is not but legends of the former peoples.' And they prevent [others] from him and are [themselves] remote from him. And they do not destroy except themselves, but they perceive [it] not. If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, 'Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers.' But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them. And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars." (Quran 6:21-28)
"And whoever Allah guides - there is no one who can misguide him. And whoever He misguides - there is no guide for him. Is not Allah Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution?" (Quran 2:5)
This verse emphasizes the importance of guidance from Allah, and the concept of being guided or misguided by Him. According to Islamic belief, Allah is the ultimate guide, and He guides those who seek His guidance and follow His commands. However, those who reject His guidance and persist in wrongdoing are led astray by their own choices and actions.
The verse also highlights the power and sovereignty of Allah as the ultimate authority and judge. He is the one who determines the ultimate fate and reward or punishment of every individual, based on their actions and beliefs. This belief in divine justice and retribution is a central tenet of Islamic faith.
"And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! It has seven gates; for each of these gates is an assigned portion of them. Truly, the righteous will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). In the seat of truth (i.e., Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah)." (Quran 15:43-45)
"Surely, those who disbelieve in Our revelations, We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins, that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allah is Mighty, Wise. But those who believe and do righteous deeds, We shall admit them to Gardens underneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling forever. They shall have spouses purified for them. And We shall admit them to a cool, refreshing shade." (Quran 4:56-57)
"The Day they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces, [it will be said], 'Taste the touch of Saqar [Hell].' Indeed, all things We created with predestination. And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember?" (Quran 54:48-51)
In these verses, Angel Malik is mentioned in the context of Hell and the punishment for the disbelievers. It is believed that Angel Malik is the guardian of Hell and is responsible for admitting people into it.
There are no other verses in the Quran that specifically mention Angel Malik. However, he is believed to be the guardian of the Hellfire and is mentioned in various hadiths (narrations of the teachings and actions of Prophet Muhammad). One hadith describes Malik as having 19 keepers of the Hellfire under his command, each of whom is as fierce as the fire itself. Another hadith states that when the disbelievers are thrown into the Hellfire, Malik will ask the fire to be calm and gentle with the believers and harsh and punishing with the disbelievers.
