Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) (for children)

Prophet Muhammad was a very special person chosen by God. He was a very kind and honest man who taught people how to be good and kind to each other. He was sent by God to show everyone the right way to live. He taught us how to be honest, helpful, and caring. He received a very important book from God called the Quran that helps us learn how to be good people. We respect and love him very much because he showed us how to be the best we can be and to love and worship God in a good way.

Final Prophet:

Muhammad is considered the last and final prophet in Islam. Muslims believe that he was chosen by God to deliver the final message, the Quran, which is a guide for humanity until the end of time. Prophet Muhammad was the last person chosen by God to teach us how to be good and kind. In Islam, we believe that he was the final messenger sent by God to show us the best way to live. He brought the last and most important message from God called the Quran. We listen to what he taught us and follow his example to be the best we can be. He is the last special person chosen by God to help us know how to live a good life.

Surah Al-Ahzab (33:40):
"Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing."

Messenger of God:

He is regarded as the messenger of God, chosen to convey the teachings and guidance of Islam to mankind. Prophet Muhammad was a very special person chosen by God to teach us how to be good and kind. He was like a teacher who showed us the right way to live. He told us about God's love and how to be good to everyone. He taught us to be kind, helpful, and to worship God in a good way. We learn a lot from him, just like we learn from our teachers at school. He is very important in Islam because he showed us how to be our best and follow God's teachings.

Surah Al-A'raf (7:157):
"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him - it is those who will be the successful."

Exemplary Character:

Muhammad is revered for his outstanding character, known for his honesty, integrity, kindness, and fairness. He is considered an exemplary model for Muslims to emulate in their lives. Prophet Muhammad was a really good person. He was very kind, caring, and fair to everyone. He always helped others and treated them with respect. He showed us how to be honest, loving, and how to be a good friend to everyone. He was very patient and never got angry quickly. We try to be like him and follow his example because he was such a nice and good person. He taught us how to be the best we can be.

Surah Al-Ahzab (33:21):
"There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often."

Revelation of the Quran:

He received the revelation of the Quran over a period of around 23 years, which is believed to be the word of God as conveyed through the angel Gabriel. Prophet Muhammad received a very important book called the Quran from God. It's like a special message from God to all of us. The Quran teaches us how to be good, kind, and fair to everyone. It tells us about God's love and how to worship and pray. It's a guide for how to live a good life. Prophet Muhammad shared this book with us so we could learn from it and be the best people we can be. The Quran is very special to us in Islam because it helps us know right from wrong.

In the Quran, there is a verse that directly addresses the Prophet Muhammad regarding the revelation of the Quran. This verse is in Surah Al-Qiyamah (75:16-19):
"Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]."

Last messenger of Islam:

Muhammad is the founder of Islam. His teachings, conveyed in the Quran and through his actions (Sunnah), form the basis of Islamic beliefs and practices. Prophet Muhammad is like the hero who started Islam. He taught us all about being good and loving to everyone. He shared very important messages from God, which are in a special book called the Quran. He showed us the right way to pray and worship. He cared a lot about being fair and helping others. He wanted us to be the best people we can be, so he started Islam to teach us how to do that.

Surah Al-A'raf (7:158):
"Say, 'O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, [from Him] to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death.' So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered prophet, who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him that you may be guided."

Social Reformer:

He brought about significant social reforms in the Arabian Peninsula, advocating for justice, equality, and compassion, and improving the treatment of women, orphans, and the less fortunate. Prophet Muhammad was a very kind and helpful leader. He wanted to make things better for everyone. He taught us to be fair and equal to all people. He cared about those who were poor or needed help. He wanted everyone to be treated nicely and equally, no matter who they were. He made rules to protect and help everyone. He wanted the world to be a kind and fair place for everyone to live in.

Migration to Medina (Hijrah):

His migration from Mecca to Medina in 622 AD (known as the Hijrah) marks the start of the Islamic calendar and is a significant event in Islamic history. Prophet Muhammad had to leave his city, Mecca, because some people didn't like his teachings. He moved to a new city called Medina. This journey is called the Hijrah. In Medina, he found many new friends who believed in his message. He helped the people there and built a mosque, a special place for praying. The Hijrah is important because it marks the start of the Islamic calendar and shows us that sometimes we have to move to new places to keep our beliefs safe.

Military Leader:

Muhammad led defensive military campaigns during his time in Medina, aiming to protect the Muslim community and ensure their right to practice their faith. Prophet Muhammad was a leader who wanted to protect his friends and followers. He had to defend them from people who wanted to hurt them. Sometimes, he had to lead his friends in battles to keep them safe. He taught them how to be brave and strong. But he always wanted peace and didn’t like to fight unless it was really necessary. He cared about protecting his friends and making sure they could practice their beliefs safely.

Surah At-Tawbah (9:128):
"There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful."

Peace and Mercy:

He emphasized peace, forgiveness, and mercy in dealing with others, even in times of conflict. He is noted for seeking reconciliation and avoiding unnecessary conflict. Prophet Muhammad was very kind and wanted everyone to live peacefully. He taught us to be patient, kind, and to forgive others. He always chose peace over fighting. He cared about being gentle and good to all people, even those who were not kind to him. He wanted us to be merciful and helpful to others, just like he was. He showed us that being patient, forgiving, and peaceful is very important in our lives.

Surah Al-Anbiya (21:107):
"And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds."

Universal Role:

Muhammad's teachings are considered universal, providing guidance not just for personal conduct but also for governance, social justice, and moral principles applicable to all aspects of life. Prophet Muhammad was special because his teachings are for everyone, not just for people in his time. He taught us how to be good, kind, and fair to everyone, no matter where they are from. His teachings in the Quran are for all people in the world, for now and for the future.

Surah Al-Qalam (68:4):
"And indeed, you are of a great moral character."

Muhammad (pbuh) wanted everyone to be the best they could be and live peacefully. He showed us the right way to live, and his message is for everyone, everywhere.
