In Islamic tradition, there is a famous hadith that mentions seven categories of people who will be shaded by Allah's throne on the Day of Judgment, when there will be no other shade. These seven categories of people are:
- The just ruler
- The young person who grew up worshipping Allah
- The one whose heart is attached to the mosque
- The two people who love each other for the sake of Allah
- The person who is invited to sin but refuses, saying "I fear Allah"
- The person who gives charity secretly, so secretly that their left hand does not know what their right hand has given
- The person who remembers Allah in private and sheds tears out of fear and love for Him.
These seven categories of people are considered to be the most beloved to Allah, and will be granted a special place in Jannah, or Paradise.
Here are some Quranic verses related to the topic of Judgment Day and the people of Jannah:
"But those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide forever. For them therein are purified spouses, and We will admit them to deepening shade." (Quran 4:57)
"Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty." (Quran 57:21)
"And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally." (Quran 2:25)
"And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous." (Quran 3:133)
"And those who believed and did righteous deeds will be admitted to gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein by permission of their Lord; and their greeting therein will be, "Peace!" (Quran 14:23)
"Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging." (Quran 18:107)
"And those who believed and did righteous deeds will be admitted to gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein by permission of their Lord; and their greeting therein will be peace." (Quran 14:23)
The above Quran verses mention the seven categories of people who will be granted shade on the Day of Judgment when there will be no shade except for that of Allah. These categories include just rulers, youth who grow up worshipping Allah, those who love each other for the sake of Allah, those who spend in charity secretly, those who remember Allah in solitude and their eyes well up with tears, those who are tempted by a person of power and beauty but reject the temptation, and those who give charity so secretly that their left hand does not know what their right hand has given. These verses highlight the importance of righteousness and good deeds, and encourage believers to strive to be among those who are granted shade on the Day of Judgment.
According to Hadith:
The hadith that mentions the seven categories of people who will be shaded by Allah's throne on the Day of Judgment is narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and recorded in Sahih Bukhari and Muslim. The narration is as follows:
"The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Seven people will be shaded by Allah under His shade on the day when there will be no shade except His. They are: a just ruler, a young person who grew up worshipping Allah, a person whose heart is attached to the mosque, two people who love each other for the sake of Allah, a man who is invited to sin but refuses, saying "I fear Allah", a person who gives charity secretly, and a person who remembers Allah in private and sheds tears out of fear and love for Him.'"
There are many other hadiths related to the topic of Judgment Day and the afterlife in Islamic tradition. Here are a few examples:
"The best among you are those who have the best manners and character." (Sahih Bukhari)
"Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent." (Sahih Muslim)
"Allah does not look at your outward appearance or wealth, but He looks at your hearts and deeds." (Sahih Muslim)
"Paradise is under the feet of mothers." (Sunan an-Nasa'i)
"The one who takes care of an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this," and he held his two fingers together to illustrate. (Sahih Bukhari)
"The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, 'Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him; and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him.'" (Sahih Bukhari)
"The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." (Sunan Ibn Majah)
These hadiths emphasize the importance of good character, good deeds, and belief in Allah and the Last Day, as well as the reward for taking care of orphans and giving charity. They also highlight the importance of having a positive attitude towards meeting Allah and the afterlife.
