Ihsan is a term used in Islam to describe the concept of perfection or excellence in one's worship of Allah. It is the highest level of faith and refers to the state of a believer who worships Allah as if they see Him, knowing that even though they do not see Him, He sees and knows all that they do.
The term Ihsan comes from the Arabic word "ahsana," which means to do something beautifully, excellently, or perfectly. In the context of Islam, Ihsan refers to the idea of worshipping Allah in the most beautiful and perfect way possible, with sincerity, devotion, and excellence.
The concept of Ihsan is often described in the Hadith of Gabriel, where the Angel Gabriel asks the Prophet Muhammad about Islam, Iman, and Ihsan. The Prophet responds that Ihsan is to worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot see Him, then know that He sees you.
In summary, Ihsan is the pursuit of perfection and excellence in worshiping Allah, embodying sincerity, devotion, and excellence.

"Surely Allah loves those who do good (ihsan)." (Quran 2:195)
"And do good (ihsan) as Allah has been good to you. And do not seek to cause corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters." (Quran 28:77)

"And those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate. And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - except for those who repent, believe and do righteousness (ihsan). For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 25:67-70)
"Say, 'My Lord has commanded justice and that you maintain yourselves [in worship of Him] at every place [or time] of prostration, and invoke Him, sincere to Him in religion.' Just as He originated you, you will return [to life] - a promise of Allah, [one] upon which He wills to establish the truth. But He has already initiated [for] you the way to [attain] what [ihsan] you promised [Him], if you fulfill it. And do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made Allah, over you, a witness. Indeed, Allah knows what you do." (Quran 16:90-91)
