"And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear. Those are like livestock; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless." (Quran 7:179)
This verse from the Quran highlights the heedlessness and lack of understanding of those who reject Allah's signs and refuse to believe in His existence. The verse states that many of the jinn and mankind have been created for Hell because of their stubbornness and unwillingness to comprehend the truth.
The verse describes the state of those who do not understand by comparing them to livestock. Like animals, they possess faculties such as hearts, eyes, and ears, but they fail to use them to gain insight and knowledge. Their ignorance and rejection of the truth make them more astray than animals.
This verse serves as a reminder to believers of the importance of seeking knowledge and understanding, as well as the consequences of neglecting the signs of Allah. It also emphasizes the need for guidance from Allah to avoid being among those who are astray and heedless.
This verse is highlighting the tragic state of those who reject the truth and follow their desires without any consideration of the consequences. Allah created humans with intellect and senses, but those who do not use them properly are like animals. They are described as having hearts that do not understand, eyes that do not see, and ears that do not hear. This means that they are unable to comprehend the truth and guidance that Allah has sent to them through His prophets and messengers. They are like cattle that blindly follow their herdsman without any awareness of where they are headed.
This verse is a warning to those who neglect their intellect and follow their desires blindly, without seeking the truth. It shows that they are in a worse state than even the animals, who at least follow their natural instincts. The verse is a call to reflect on one's actions and use the intellect and senses that Allah has blessed us with to seek guidance and follow the path of righteousness.
