"Allahumma" is an Arabic word that means "O Allah" or "Oh God". It is often used in the Quran in supplications, or du'as, which are prayers of request or invocation to Allah. These supplications typically begin with the phrase "Allahumma" to address Allah directly and to seek His help, guidance, forgiveness, or protection.
There are many supplications that begin with "Allahumma" in the Hadith's. Some examples include:
- Allahumma inni as'aluka al-'afiyah (O Allah, I ask You for well-being) - Narrated by Abu Dawud (5090) and At-Tirmidhi (3426).
- Allahumma inna nas'aluka al-jannah, wa na'udhu bika min al-nar (O Allah, we ask You for Paradise and seek refuge in You from the Fire) - Narrated by Ibn Majah (3876).

- Allahumma rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar (O Allah, our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire) - Narrated by Al-Bukhari (6387) and Muslim (2018).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka al-huda, wa at-tuqa, wa al-'afafa, wa al-ghina (O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and sufficiency) - Narrated by Muslim (2721).
- Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-kasali wal-harami, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabil-qabr, la ilaha illa Anta (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness and wrongdoing, and I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, there is no god but You) - Narrated by Al-Bukhari (6377) and Muslim (2708).

- Allahumma inni as'aluka min khayri ma sa'alaka minhu nabiyyuka Muhammadun sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, wa a'udhu bika min sharri ma ista'adatha minhu nabiyyuka Muhammadun sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam (O Allah, I ask You for the best of what Your Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, asked You, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what Your Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, sought refuge in You) - Narrated by Muslim (4916).
- Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin, kama sallayta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majid (O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious) - Narrated by Al-Bukhari (3357) and Muslim (408).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka imanan yubashshiru qalbi, wa yaqinan yuhakkiqu qalbi, wa 'ilman nafi'an yufa'lu bihi qalbi, wa amalan salihan yurzaqni bihi wajhaka, wa tawbatan nasuhan a'udhu biha ilayka min zawali ni'matika, wa sayyiatil-a'mal (O Allah, I ask You for a faith that brings joy to my heart, and a certainty that establishes my heart, and beneficial knowledge that my heart acts upon, and righteous deeds that grant me Your pleasure, and a sincere repentance that I seek refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings and the evil of deeds) - Narrated by Ahmad (3711) and At-Tirmidhi (3377).
- Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja'altahu sahlan, wa anta taj'alul-hazna idha shi'ta sahlan (O Allah, there is no ease except in what You make easy, and You make the difficult easy if You will) - Narrated by Ibn Hibban (2418) and Al-Bukhari in his Adab al-Mufrad (567).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka ridaaka wal jannah, wa a'udhu bika min sakhatika wan naar (O Allah, I ask You for Your pleasure and Paradise, and I seek refuge in You from Your displeasure and the Fire) - Narrated by At-Tirmidhi (3632) and Ibn Majah (3852).

- Allahumma aslih li dini alladhi huwa 'ismatu amri, wa aslih li dunyaya allati fiha ma'ashi, wa aslih li akhirati allati fiha ma'adi, waj'alil-hayata ziyadatan li fi kulli khayr, waj'alil-mawta rahatan li min kulli shar (O Allah, rectify my religion, which is the safeguard of my affairs, rectify my worldly life, in which is my livelihood, and rectify my Hereafter, which is my final destination. - Allahumma anta rabbi, la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduka, wa ana 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u laka bini'matika 'alayya, wa abu'u bidhanbi, faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta (O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You, You created me and I am Your servant, and I am upon Your covenant and promise to the best of my ability, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my deeds, I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I confess my sins to You, so forgive me, for no one forgives sins except You) - Narrated by Al-Bukhari (6306) and Muslim (2702).
- Allahumma ajirni min al-nar (O Allah, save me from the Fire) - Narrated by Al-Bukhari (318) and Muslim (2713).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka hifzal afw wal'amal bi-rushdi wal'adha' bil-qist (O Allah, I ask You for protection from sin, and to act with righteousness and justice) - Narrated by Abu Dawud (1513) and At-Tirmidhi (3462).
- Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-huzni, wal-'ajzi wal-kasli, wal-bukhli wal-jubni, wa dhala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijal (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from helplessness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and from the overpowering of men) - Narrated by Al-Bukhari (6361) and Muslim (2708).

- Allahumma la mani'a lima a'tayta, wa la mu'tiya lima mana'ta, wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minkal-jadd (O Allah, there is no one who can prevent what You give, and there is no one who can give what You prevent, and the mighty of this world can never avail against You) - Narrated by Al-Bukhari (6502).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka ilman nafi'an wa rizqan tayyiban wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds) - Narrated by At-Tirmidhi (3686).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka husn al-khātimah wa a'udhu bika min sayyi' al-khātimah (O Allah, I ask You for a good end, and I seek refuge in You from an evil end) - Narrated by Muslim (2710).

- Allahumma arhamni bi-raḥmatika wa aḥdinī ilā al-ṭarīq al-mustaqīm (O Allah, have mercy on me with Your mercy and guide me to the straight path) - Narrated by An-Nasa'i (1305).

- Allahumma inni as'aluka al-afwa wa al-'afiyah fi deeni wa dunyaya, wa ahlia wa maali, Allahumma astur awrati, wa amin ra'ati, Allahumma hfadhni min bayni yadayya, wa min khalfi, wa an yamini wa an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa audhu bika an ughtala min tahti (O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religion and worldly life, and for my family and wealth. - Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin, kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahim, innaka Hamidun Majid. Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin, kama barakta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahim, innaka Hamidun Majid (O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. - Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fuja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the reversal of Your blessings, the loss of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and from all Your wrath) - Narrated by Muslim (2739).
- Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatik (O Allah, help me to remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in the best way) - Narrated by Tirmidhi (3385).

- Allahumma anta rabbana la ilaha illa anta khalaqtana wa nahnu 'abiduka wa nahnu 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'na, na'udhu bika min sharri ma sanana, abu'u laka bi ni'matika 'alayna, wa abu'u bi dhanbina, faghfir lana fa innahu la yaghfir al-dhunuba illa anta (O Allah, You are our Lord, there is no god but You, You have created us and we are Your servants, and we are faithful to our covenant with You and to Your promise, as much as we can. We seek refuge in You from the evil of what we have done. We acknowledge Your favor upon us and confess our sins, so forgive us, for no one forgives sins except You) - Narrated by Bukhari (6396).
- Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbu'l-afwa fa'fu 'anni (O Allah, You are the Pardoner, and You love to pardon, so pardon me) - Narrated by Tirmidhi (3513).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka al-'afwa wa'l-'afiyah fi dunya wa'l-akhirah (O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and in the Hereafter) - Narrated by Tirmidhi (3502).
- Allahumma la mani'a lima a'tayt wa la mu'tiya lima mana't wa la yanfa'u dhal-jaddi minka'l-jaddu (O Allah, there is no one who can withhold what You have given, and there is no one who can give what You have withheld, and no wealth or might can benefit anyone against Your will) - Narrated by Bukhari (6430).
- Allahumma inna na'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik wa fuja'ati niqmatik wa jami'i sakhatik (O Allah, we seek refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and from all Your displeasure) - Narrated by Muslim (2717).
- Allahumma aslih li dini alladhi huwa 'ismatu amri, wa aslih li dunyaya allati fiha ma'ashi, wa aslih li akhirati allati fiha ma'adi, wa ja'al al-hayata ziyadatan li fi kulli khairin, wa al-mawta rahatan li min kulli sharrin (O Allah, correct my religion, which is the safeguard of my affairs, and correct my worldly affairs, in which is my living, and correct my Hereafter, which is my ultimate destination. And make the life a source of increase for me in every good, and make death a source of comfort for me from every evil) - Narrated by Muslim (2720).
- Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja'altahu sahla, wa anta taj'al al-hazna idha shi'ta sahla (O Allah, nothing is easy except what You have made easy. And You can make the difficult easy if You wish) - Narrated by Ibn Hibban (2447).
- Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahim wa 'ala ali Ibrahim, innaka Hamidun Majid. Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin kama barakta 'ala Ibrahim wa 'ala ali Ibrahim, innaka Hamidun Majid (O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious) - Narrated by Bukhari (3368).
- Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'ilmin la yanfau', wa min qalbin la yakhsha'u, wa min nafsin la tashba'u, wa min da'watin la yustajabu laha (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge which does not benefit, from a heart that does not fear (You), from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not answered) - Narrated by Muslim (2722).

- Allahumma inni as'aluka minal khairi kullihi, ajilihi wa ajilihi, ma 'alimtu minhu wa ma la a'lam, wa a'udhu bika mina sharri kullihi, ajilihi wa ajilihi, ma 'alimtu minhu wa ma la a'lam, wa as'aluka min khairi ma sa'alaka 'abduka wa nabiyyuka, wa a'udhu bika min sharri ma 'az'aba bihi 'abduka wa nabiyyuka, Allahumma inni as'aluka al-jannata wa ma qarraba ilayha min qawlin aw 'amal, wa a'udhu bika min al-nari wa ma qarraba ilayha min qawlin aw 'amal, wa as'aluka an taj'al kulli qadha'in qadaytahu li khairan (O Allah, I ask You for all goodness, immediate and delayed, that I know of and that I do not know of. And I seek refuge in You from all evil, immediate and delayed, that I know of and that I do not know of. And I ask You for the best of what Your servant and Prophet have asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from the worst of what Your servant and Prophet sought refuge from. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and whatever brings one closer to it, in word or deed. And I seek refuge in You from the Fire and whatever brings one closer to it, in word or deed. And I ask You to make every decree You have decreed for me good) - Narrated by Muslim (2714).
- Allahumma asleh li dini alladhi huwa 'ismatu amri, wa asleh li dunyaya allati fiha ma'ashi, wa asleh li akhirati allati fiha ma'adi, waj'al al-hayata ziyadatan li fi kulli khayr, waj'al al-mawta rahatan li min kulli shar (O Allah, rectify for me my religion, which is the safeguard of my affairs. - Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabi jahannama, wa min 'adhabil-qabri, wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat, wa min fitnatil-masihid-dajjal (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hellfire, and from the punishment of the grave, and from the trials of life and death, and from the trial of the False Messiah) - Narrated by Muslim (2708).

- Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-huzni, wal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wal-bukhli wal-jubni, wa dhala'id-daini wa ghalabatir-rijal (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from helplessness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and from being overpowered by men) - Narrated by Bukhari (6369).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka hubbaka wa hubba man yuhibbuka wa hubba 'amalin yuqarribuni ila hubbik (O Allah, I ask You for Your love and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds that will bring me closer to Your love) - Narrated by Tirmidhi (3499).

I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done, and I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I confess my sins to You. So forgive me, for there is none who forgives sins except You) - Narrated by Bukhari (6306).
- Allahumma inni as'aluka min khayri ma sa'alaka minhu nabiyyuka Muhammadun salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam, wa a'udhu bika min sharri ma a'udhu bihi minhu nabiyyuka Muhammadun salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam (O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, asked You for, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that Your Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, sought refuge from) - Narrated by Muslim (2635).
- Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-faqri wal-kufri, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabil-qabri, la ilaha illa anta (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty and disbelief, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You) - Narrated by Bukhari (6383).

There is no god but You, the Beneficent, the Compassionate, the Possessor of Majesty and Honor. O Living One, O Self-Subsisting and Eternal One, O Most Merciful, O Most Gracious, You bring forth the unseen and the seen. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I ask You, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me, and I acknowledge my sins, so forgive me, for no one forgives sins but You) - Narrated by Bukhari (6316).
