Dua according to the Quran

Dua is the Arabic word for "supplication" or "invocation." It is an act of calling upon Allah and asking for His help, guidance, and forgiveness. In Islam, Dua is considered a very important act of worship, and it is one of the five pillars of Islam. Muslims are encouraged to make Dua regularly, as it helps them to develop a closer relationship with Allah and to seek His blessings and mercy.

Dua can be made in any language, but it is recommended to recite the duas mentioned in the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). These duas are considered the most authentic and effective, as they were taught by the Prophet himself. The Quran contains many duas, and some of them are recited regularly by Muslims in their daily prayers and other occasions.

Dua, or supplication, is an integral part of Islamic worship and is mentioned frequently in the Quran. It is a means of communicating with Allah and asking for His blessings, forgiveness, and guidance. Muslims are encouraged to make dua in all situations, whether in times of need or gratitude.

Here are some examples of Quranic verses that mention dua:

"And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided." (2:186)

"Say, 'What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?'" (25:77)

"And your Lord says, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you.'" (40:60)

"And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided." (2:186)

"And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims." (46:15)

"And those who say, 'Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.'" (25:74)

"Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people." (3:147)

These verses show the importance and power of dua in Islam, and encourage believers to make supplication to Allah in all aspects of their lives.

"And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided." [Quran 2:186]

"Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like transgressors." [Quran 7:55]

"And your Lord says, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you.' Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible." [Quran 40:60]

"And [remember] when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided." [Quran 2:186]

"And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good." [Quran 29:69]

"And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims." [Quran 41:33]

These verses encourage Muslims to make Dua to Allah, to call upon Him in humility, and to have faith that He will respond to their supplications. They also emphasize the importance of doing good deeds and striving for Allah's guidance.
