Boiling water in Hell - according to the Quran

The Quran describes various punishments in Hell for those who reject the message of God and engage in disobedience and arrogance. These punishments include boiling water, burning garments, maces of iron, the burning fire, the Crusher, regret and loss, denial and rejection, humiliation and disgrace, severity and repetition of punishment, and the record of deeds in a register. These punishments serve as a warning to emphasize the consequences of one's actions and the severity of the punishment they will face in the Hereafter. The Quran describes boiling water as one of the punishments in Hell. In Surah Al-Hajj, verse 19-22, the Quran states:

"Those who disbelieve will have garments of fire cut out for them; boiling water will be poured over their heads. With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as [their] skins. And for [striking] them are maces of iron. Every time they want to get out of Hell because of the suffering of the punishment, they will be returned to it, and [they will be told], 'Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!'"

This verse describes the punishment of those who reject the message of God and associate partners with Him. They will be clad in garments of fire, and boiling water will be poured over their heads, causing their skin and insides to melt away. The punishment will be so severe that they will desire to escape from Hell, but they will be returned to it repeatedly, with the command to taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.

This description of boiling water as a punishment in Hell emphasizes the intensity of the suffering and the severity of the punishment for those who reject the message of God.

In Surah Al-Hajj, verse 19-22 (as mentioned before), the Quran also mentions garments of fire, maces of iron, and the burning fire as punishments for the disbelievers in Hell.

In Surah Al-Muddathir, verses 29-30, the Quran states:

"Indeed, Hell will be a place of refuge for the transgressors. They will be in it for ages, and they will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink."

This verse describes how the inhabitants of Hell will not experience any relief or comfort, such as coolness or drink, despite being in it for ages.

In Surah Al-Humaza, verses 4-6, the Quran states:

"Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher."

This verse describes how those who accumulate wealth and become arrogant about it will eventually be thrown into the Crusher, which is another punishment in Hell.

Overall, the Quran mentions various punishments in Hell, such as burning garments, boiling water, maces of iron, the burning fire, and the Crusher. These punishments emphasize the severity and intensity of the suffering in Hell and serve as a warning for those who reject the message of God and engage in transgression and arrogance.

In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 167, the Quran states:

"And those who followed would say, 'If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could dissociate ourselves from them as they have dissociated themselves from us.' Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire."

This verse describes how the followers of the disbelievers will wish for another chance at life so they can dissociate themselves from them, but it will be too late. They will be shown their deeds as regrets, and they will never be able to emerge from the Fire.

In Surah Al-Hajj, verse 11, the Quran states:

"And among the people is he who worships Allah on an edge. If he is touched by good, he is reassured by it; but if he is struck by trial, he turns on his face [to the other direction]. He has lost [this] world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss."

This verse describes how those who only worship Allah when it is convenient for them will face a manifest loss in both this world and the Hereafter.

In Surah Al-Qalam, verse 42-43, the Quran states:

"[They will be told], 'This is what you used to deny.' Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun."

This verse describes how the disbelievers will be reminded of what they denied and rejected, and the righteous will have their record in 'illiyyun, which is a high place of honor and dignity.

Overall, the Quran describes various punishments in Hell, including regret and loss, being unable to emerge from the Fire, and denial and rejection. These punishments emphasize the severity and consequences of disbelief, disobedience, and arrogance, and serve as a warning for those who reject the message of God.

In Surah Al-Qamar, verse 47, the Quran states:

"And We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft."

This verse describes how the disbelievers will be punished by having shackles on their necks and their heads kept aloft, causing them to be in a state of humiliation and disgrace.

In Surah Al-Ma'arij, verses 15-16, the Quran states:

"Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is severe. Indeed, it is He who initiates and repeats."

This verse emphasizes the severity of the punishment in Hell and how it is initiated and repeated by God.

In Surah Al-Infitar, verses 10-12, the Quran states:

"Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjin. And what can make you know what is sijjin? It is a register inscribed."

This verse describes how the record of the wicked will be in sijjin, which is a register of their deeds inscribed with their names.

Overall, the Quran describes various punishments in Hell, including humiliation and disgrace, severity and repetition of punishment, and the record of deeds in a register. These punishments serve as a warning to those who reject the message of God and engage in disobedience and arrogance, emphasizing the consequences of their actions and the severity of the punishment they will face in the Hereafter.
