  1. Al-Mu'akhkhir - The Delayer: This name indicates that Allah can delay or hold back anything He wills. It is also mentioned in a hadith:
"Allah created the creation, and when He finished from His creation, the womb got up and caught hold of Allah whereupon Allah said, 'What is the matter?' On that, it said, 'I seek refuge with you from those who sever the ties of kith and kin.' On that Allah said, 'Will you be satisfied if I keep the ties of kith and kin?' It said, 'Yes, O my Lord!' Then Allah said, 'That is for you.' Hence Allah said, 'Whoever keeps good relations with you, I will keep good relations with him, and whoever will sever it, I will sever his relation with you.' (Bukhari)
These are the 99 names of Allah, each one revealing a different aspect of His character and nature. Muslims use them in their prayers and daily life to remember and honor Allah, and to seek His blessings and mercy.
