Seerah 011 - The Women Who Cared for the Prophet

Sunan an-Nasa'i » The Book of Fasting

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar said:

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted."'

أَخْبَرَنِي حَاجِبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ مَنْ صَامَ الأَبَدَ فَلاَ صَامَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i » The Book of Adornment

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:

The Prophet [SAW] said: "The makers of these images will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: 'Breathe life into that which you have created.'"

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ هَذِهِ الصُّوَرِ الَّذِينَ يَصْنَعُونَهَا يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sunan an-Nasa'i » The Book of ar-Ruqba

Ma'mar narrated from 'Amr bin Dinar, from Tawus, from Zaid bin Thabit, that the Prophet said:

"'Umra (a gift given for life) belongs to the heir."

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْعُمْرَى لِلْوَارِثِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sunan Abi Dawud » Wages (Kitab Al-Ijarah)

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:

The Prophet (saws) said: Life-tenancy is lawful for the one to whom it is given and donation of property to go to the survivor is lawful to whom it is given.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا دَاوُدُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ الْعُمْرَى جَائِزَةٌ لأَهْلِهَا وَالرُّقْبَى جَائِزَةٌ لأَهْلِهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Sunan Ibn Majah » The Chapters on Business Transactions

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:

"The image-makers will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be told: 'Give life to that which you have created.' "

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الصُّوَرِ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
