Sunan Abi Dawud » Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat)

Waki’ said Ba’l means the agricultural crop which grows by the rain water. Ibn Al Aswad said and Yahya, that is, Ibn Adam said I asked Abu Iyas al Asadi (about this word ba’l). He replied What is watered by rain.

Mishkat al-Masabih » Prayer

Sahl b. Sa'd reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Two things are not rejected, or are seldom rejected:

a supplication when the call to prayer is made, and in stress when people are locked in battle.” A version has “and when rain is falling”. Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it, but Darimi did not mention “and when rain is falling”.

Mishkat al-Masabih » Prayer

Anas said:

A shower of rain fell when we were with God’s Messenger, so he removed his garment till some of the rain fell on him. We asked him why he did this, and he replied, “Because it has recently been with its Lord." Muslim transmitted it.

Bulugh al-Maram » The Book of Prayer

Narrated [Anas (RA)]:

Rain fell upon us while we were with Allah's Messenger (SAW). He opened his garment till some of the rain fell upon him. He then said, "It has only recently been created by its Rabb." [Reported by Muslim].

Bulugh al-Maram » The Book of Prayer

Narrated Sa'd (RA):

The Prophet (SAW) supplicated (Allah) for rain saying, "O Allah, cover all the land with accumulated, thundering, plunging and lightening clouds from which You would send us down a showery, drizzly, and pouring rain. O Possessor of Glory and Honour." [Reported by Abu 'Awanah in his Sahih].

1 ) Verse from Quran:
In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of night and day; in the ships that sail the oceans for the benefit of humanity; in the rain that Allah sends down from the sky, with which He revives the earth after its death; in the scattering of all kinds of creatures throughout; in the shifting of the winds, and the clouds drifting between the sky and the earth; are signs for people who understand.

2 ) Verse from Quran:
The example of those who spend their possessions seeking to please Allah and to secure themselves is similar to the example of a garden on a hill: if heavy rain falls on it, its produce is doubled; and if no heavy rain falls, then dew is enough. Allah sees whatever you do.

3 ) Verse from Quran:
When you are among them, and you stand to lead them in prayer, let a group of them stand with you, and let them hold their weapons. Then, when they have done their prostrations, let them withdraw to the rear, and let another group, that have not prayed yet, come forward and pray with you; and let them take their precautions and their weapons. Those who disbelieve would like you to neglect your weapons and your equipment, so they could attack you in a single assault. You commit no error if you are hampered by rain or are sick, by putting down your weapons, but take precautions. Allah has prepared for the unbelievers a demeaning punishment.

Do they not realize how many generations We destroyed before them? We had established them on earth more firmly than We established you, and We sent the sky pouring down abundant rain on them, and We made rivers flow beneath them.
